The REstore 319 Project

Bristol RE LL 6G / ECW: 319 - RBD319G .

The United Counties Preservation Group has launched the REstore 319 appeal to support the restoration of former United Counties Bristol RE bus number 319. This bus operated for United Counties between 1968 and 1986 and it worked out of bus garages at Luton, Corby, Bletchley, Biggleswade and Hitchin during this time.
It then spent two years in Northern Ireland working for Belfast Citybus, before being brought back to the area for preservation in 1990. The bus unfortunately ended up near derelict on a farm, and has deteriorated badly.
The UCPG took over ownership of the bus in 2018 and having acquired 319, we've already committed funds to move the bus from the farm and to conduct repairs on the chassis.
319 has a long way to go before it will be roadworthy again so we need generous support to get the restoration of this bus completed and we've launched the appeal to help save this now unique bus for future generations to enjoy as part of our transport heritage.
