The founding members of the United Counties Preservation Group (UCPG) have achieved a lot over the last ten years, pushing forwards on the restoration of the vehicles that make up the UCPG fleet. They offer a very exciting opportunity to preserve a group of vehicles representative of those that operated across the United Counties area in Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and into adjoining areas within the living memory of many people within the area, bringing nostalgia and memories flooding back. Unfortunately, this doesn't come cheap - just to maintain the vehicles in their current condition, store them and take them to events costs many hundreds of pounds each year - that's before the cost of ongoing restoration, both currently and in the future - in particular where specialist / large vehicle maintenance skills are required. To ensure that there is the money to do all of this, the UCPG needs to recruit new members - our top supporters - who can make a commitment to a regular monthly donation of £10 per month to ensure these vehicles will have a bright and secure future.

What Will You get as a UCPG Member?

In return for your regular monthly contribution, we will reward you with:

• Membership of the UCPG for as long as you contribute (no need to worry about renewals).

• A bi-annual newsletter detailing all of our activities.

• Invitation to travel on our vehicles to bus rallies and other transport events.

• An invitation to an annual members' only running event within the United Counties area.

• Opportunities to volunteer with us in vehicle upkeep.

• The satisfaction of knowing you are helping preserve these historic vehicles for future generations.

What will the UCPG get?

The UCPG will benefit significantly from your regular contribution as it will give us much needed additional income to allow the maintenance and restoration of the vehicles to continue. If you are of working age and pay Income Tax, we would also be very grateful if you could also complete the Gift Aid declaration on the Membership Form, which will allow us to claim an extra 25p in each £1 back from HM Treasury, effectively increasing your donation.

Can I donate more than £10 a month?

We have set the membership donation amount at £10 per month as we believe it is affordable for the vast majority of people and also reflective of the ongoing amounts needed to maintain and progress the vehicles. If you are interested in making a higher regular donation, you are very welcome to. Please contact us on the details below to discuss this.

I can't afford £10 a month, what can I do?

We appreciate that everyone's circumstances are different, so we are happy to discuss an affordable amount if you are still keen to commit to a regular donation.
